Knight stormed into the building with a scowl on his face. He looked like he was about to shoot someone. Knowing him, that was probably true. While he had learned to control his anger, he was still someone that you didn’t want to piss off.

“Hey, Hudson. Is everything alright?” I asked warily.

“What are you going to do for daycare when you have the baby?”

I shrugged. “I guess we’ll do the same thing we’ve been doing. I still need to work and so does Sebastian.”

“How are you going to do it with two kids now? That’s gonna be rough.”

“Well, I’ve thought about hiring a nanny, but Sebastian has some pretty high standards about who can watch his child.”

He raised an eyebrow at me and stormed into Sebastian’s office. I followed him, not knowing what to expect.

“We need a daycare facility attached here. There are too many of us with kids now and there aren’t that many qualified nannies in the area. I think it’s best if we pool our resources and get something going that works for all of us.”

“No one fitting your criteria?” Sebastian smirked.

“The only person I trust with my daughter is Kate, but she refuses to give up her job to take care of her kid.”

“Gee, sounds like someone else I know.” Sebastian looked over at me with a raised eyebrow.

“Oh, please. Don’t tell me that you honestly expect me to give up my job for our kids. We’ve already been through this. And Kate, she worked her ass off to be a doctor. You can’t expect her to just give all that up.”

“Nobody else is qualified to care for our child,” Knight sneered.

“Please, there are plenty of daycare workers that have gone to school specifically for caring for children.”

“I happen to agree with Knight,” Cap smiled. “I don’t want just anyone watching our children.”

“You guys are too paranoid.”

“Do I need to remind you what happened just a couple of years ago when you were taken? You did everything you could to protect Caitlin and you still lost a couple of fingers for it,” Sebastian said angrily.

“That was one incident.”

“And that’s all it takes,” Knight said. “I’m not willing to risk Kate or our child again. So,” he said, turning to Sebastian. “Let’s make a list of requirements for in house daycare and then we can start looking for some candidates.”

Sebastian nodded and pulled out a pen and paper. “First, we need to have both a female and a male.”

“Why?” I asked curiously.

Sebastian shot me a look like I was stupid. “Well, the woman will take care of the children and the man will be there for protection.”

“Better have two women at least. We don’t want anyone neglected,” Knight cut in.

“Right.” Sebastian wrote down some notes and then looked back up at Knight. “The man will have to be military, good enough to work here. He’ll have to pass all our training courses and he’ll have to pass our evasive driving tests.”

“He also should be a sharpshooter. I don’t want anyone around my kid that isn’t an expert marksman,” Knight said fiercely.
